Everyday that has gone by
Is not without pain
Even sleep
Brings me no comfort
Mind,
The dreams are sweet
But the desires they evoked
Taste bitter
I cannot have them
I should not have them
But I do not have a choice
It comes and goes
And everyone says nay
To forget about it
But somehow I cannot be swayed
Cause' my heart has been laid
And I refuse to take it back
Despite the consequences
The torture
I know I have to bear
